Cari Vande Veegaete
Board Member
I am honored to be a board member for SVS. Although I have never personally experienced domestic violence, I grew up educated about it. It is true that “we all know someone” - my mom often shared stories of her personal experience with domestic violence as a child and into her teenage years. I love the mission of SVS and commit to what it takes to help SVS fulfill its mission.
For over 2 decades, I have held various HR positions including HR Business Partner, Employee Relations Partner, HR Director and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Director and have worked in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Beverage, and Tech industries.
I have a BA in Human Resource Management from Westminster College and a MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. I am affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management and have previously held positions as President, President-elect, and board member for the Utah Society for Healthcare Human Resources. I have served on the STEM Foundation Board, and most recently as the board chair for the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
I live in South Jordan with my husband and 2 dogs. Together we have 4 kids, and two grandbabies. For the most part I am a homebody and enjoy a clean house, a nice yard, listening to audiobooks, and spending time outdoors with my loved ones.
